Some people hate reptitles and amphibians. And their natural reaction when they see one is to hit it.

What would you do if someone hits your pet?

Geckos are not amphibians!

And how could someone kick a gecko? They are very small reptiles. I owned a pair of crested geckos and kicking them wouldn't even be possible. They are way too small.

Oops thanks for the correction, i should move the thread to reptiles.
It is possible to kick it when someone is new. Since it is used to staying around people, a guest may not look at it as a pet. I have seen that happening.
