Turkey as a pet

This may be random, but has anyone here ever had a pet turkey? My aunt actually had a few pet turkeys over the years. She used to save them from slaughter. I remember she was able to train some of them to do tricks, so turkeys can be kind of smart.

Would you ever have a turkey as a pet? I don't think I ever would, but it is interesting idea.

They are very loud and destructive from what I hear. It is better/easier to care for chickens. I personally wouldn't want either. I don't have the yard space or the time to commit to carrying for this kind of animal.
